The leaves are falling and the colors are changing in New England and I couldn’t be happier! It sure feels like fall but the reality is that there are days that still feel like summer.
I’m sure you’ll know by now (I mention it all the time) the weather here changes a lot. Being originally from the Caribbean where we pretty much have summer all year, the change has definitely been interesting. I’ve changed how I shop for clothing and the way I prepare for each season. This Fall I decided I wanted to keep my closet classic and modern to combine things easier. I’ve been adding a few pieces that I love but my absolute favorite is this Little Black Dress. Fall Transition Tip:
Put away all the shorts, tanks tops and summer clothes. You’ll feel more inspired to combine outfits and less overwhelmed when you look at your closet. Believe me, it works!I’m partnering with Macy’s to show you how I transition to fall in this City Chic Sheer Dot High-Low Dress. This piece enhances beautifully my curves with the A-line silhouette making it super flattering. I love that has a dot-print and high-low hem which is also not too long, convenient for us short gals. The dress is classic and modern at the same time. You can dress it up or down easily by adding different accessories which makes is versatile. If you ask me that’s the key for a great transitioning clothing piece.
I’m styling this dress for an evening event so I decided to wear a bright red lipstick, red oversize earrings and a pair of black mules for a more relaxed vibe. I like to wear red and black with animal print so I added a little bit of sassiness to the look with this faux fur animal print bag that I bought a long time ago. And to complete the look I added a trench coat because I think is a piece that elevates an outfit and gives it that autumn look.If you are a plus size gal that is looking for the perfect dress to wear on any occasion whether is day or night I highly recommend you add this piece to your wardrobe. Is one of those timeless dresses that you can wear with white sneakers and a denim jacket or high heels and a dressy coat. I know I’ll be wearing it a lot, not only during fall but all year around.
