I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas! I have the Christmas spirit since my birthday (November 3 lol). I think it’s because my Puerto Rican culture celebrates Christmas for a long period. If you ask a Puerto Rican when the holiday season ends, he will tell you at the end of January or the beginning of February. This happens overall because we celebrate everything and that’s why for me it’s never too early or too late to start celebrating Christmas.
…And speaking of Christmas. I asked on social media, what kind of content you guys would like to see and many told me, “content in preparation for the holidays”. That’s why I decided to start today a Holiday Series where I share with you my best tips and recommendations in preparation for the holidays.
Now, as I mentioned, my Christmas spirit comes from my Puerto Rican customs and traditions. Something that we love to do this time of the year is to prepare for holiday parties. Whether it’s a small party or a big party where the whole neighborhood is invited, we always put a lot of effort to the smallest detail specially into the party invitations. That’s why for the first “Holiday Prep” post I wanted to share with you an affordable alternative to create your Holiday Party Invitations!
About a month ago I discovered Basic Invite which is a website where you can customize your cards for every special occasion. Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers almost unlimited color options with instant previews online (a yay in my book!). I have created 4 different Holiday Party Invitations with different themes to have variety and what is great about them is that once you have the card with the design and shape you want, you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want. I chose white, red, green and blue because those are my favorite colors to use during the holiday season!
My Holiday Party Invitations
I felt super inspired to customize the cards and I loved the final look! I think a great idea for a Holiday Party Invitation is to use a photo you love to make it more special. In one side you can use the photo and in the other side you can add the party details. Also, I had the freedom to select the color of the envelop because they have over 40 different colors for you to select! In addition to the regular paper, if you prefer to use foil in your holiday cards they have that option in gold, silver, and rose gold.
Right now Basic Invite is offering 30% off with coupon code: holi30 I recommend you take advantage of that for your Holiday Party Invitations!
Basic Invite has card for every occasion, whether you need to say Thanks to someone special (like the photo above) or you are going to celebrate love having a winter wedding, they have amazing options for you.

Another bonus is that you can order a sample of your actual invitation so you can see exactly how it will print as well as feel the paper quality before you place your final order. Let me know if you want to see more of these Holiday Prep Posts! What should I talk about in the next one?
