I’ve always believed that confidence is an attitude that lifts our spirit and shapes the way we live. Now, I’ll admit that even though I am a body positive blogger, I have does moments where I’m not 100% confident. I have days where I feel on top of the world and others where I have to work a little more to feel good. I wanted to mention it because being a body positive blogger sometimes people assume that we are happy, confident and love every part of our bodies every day which isn’t real. I’ve realized that in order to feel good about yourself you need to practice everyday self-love and you guys may think, but how?. It’s all in the little details! I like to take time to be present in the moment. When I appreciate everything around me and life, I appreciate myself.
Another way I practice self-love is taking care of myself by doing my nails, styling my hair, etc. I find that when I like what I see, I feel good and if I feel good I look good! That’s why today I wanted to share with you a few tips that have helped me feel good and confident From Head to Toe!
Tip 1 : Hair on Point!
For some reason when have my hair done I feel more confident than ever. I recently went to Walmart and bought the Schwarzkopf Color Ultime in 1.3 Black Cherry and I fell in love because is a dark color with a red/cherry/burgundy undertone which is perfect for Fall. Tip 2: Know Your Colors
I always say “I am not a green kind of gal”, nevertheless my twin sister has beautiful hazel eyes and she rocks green clothing like nobody. The reason is because she knows what colors look good on her. The benefit of knowing your colors is that when your buying clothing you save time because you know already what colors fit better with your style. To find what colors look best on you I recommend you try all the colors of the rainbow. Yes, all of them! The colors that go with your undertone usually (there are exceptions) are your colors!
But, How do you know your undertone? The easiest way is to check your veins! Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. Do they look green or blue? If they look bluer you have cool undertones which means that colors like pink, red and pastels look great on you. If your veins look more green you have warm undertones which means that colors like mustard, orange, green and a deep red look amazing on you! But I have to mention, not every case is the same. You can be like me “the rule breaker”, I love colors so I like to wear most of them except green and peach.
Tip 3: Find what works for your body
Today I am wearing a monochromatic outfit in gray using pieces that are essentials in my closet! Why? Because they make me feel comfortable and comfort means confidence! As you may know by now I love animal print that’s why I paired this snake print skirt with a basic gray t-shirt and sneakers for a more casual vibe. To make it look chic I wore this vest that makes me feel like a million bucks! I like to wear this pieces because I know they work for my body type but maybe your go-to pieces are different because you like to show more or less. Personally, I have a rule when I get dressed and is that if I show my legs I can’t show cleavage, that’s my personal rule but you don’t have to follow my rule. Celebrate your style and find what works for your body and wear what makes you feel beautiful. That’s what’s important!
