Island Gal Uniform

As a lot of you know I am originally from Puerto Rico but I live in Rhode Island, an ocean state, which means I am in my element. Now that summer is just around the corner and temperatures have risen is when I rearrange my closet and add pieces to create what I like to call, My Summer Uniform, they are pieces that I use a lot this season.
Today I’m really happy because I’m doing a collaboration with Torrid to show you my Island Gal Uniform. In case you didn’t know, Torrid is an amazing clothing store that offers modern and trendy fashion for plus size women from sizes 10- 30 and the best thing is that the fit in their clothing is always perfect in my experience.

Denim Shorts
Denim shorts are essential during summer, that’s why is part of my summer “uniform”. The denim shorts I’m wearing are size 18 and they fit me perfectly, they are not too short or too long, you can feel a good quality. I love the crochet trim with a distressed look on the bottom because it gives a feminine modern touch.

Embroidered Blouse
I choose this white embroidered blouse to pair with the shorts because in summer I always try to wear light tones and lighter fabric blouses with shorts, I think that gives a relaxed look. In combination with these shorts, I’m using these beautiful coral tone sandals; the best thing is they are super comfortable. As for accessories I decided to use this beautiful straw tote that has pompoms and gives a touch of color to the look and also used a trio of necklaces that are lightweight and have a bohemian vibe perfect for the season. Last but not least to complete the look use these beautiful faux marble sunglasses, I feel that gave that special touch to the outfit.

Como muchas saben originalmente soy de Puerto Rico, pero vivo en Rhode Island lo que quiere decir que el agua y yo nos llevamos al 100. Ahora que verano está a la vuelta de la esquina  y las temperaturas han subido es cuando reorganizo mi closet y añado piezas para crear lo que yo llamo “Mi uniforme en verano” porque son piezas que utilizo mucho en esta temporada.

Hoy estoy súper contenta porque estoy haciendo una colaboración con Torrid para mostrarles  mi Island Gal Uniform. Me imagino que muchas de ustedes saben de la tienda, pero si no la conoces Torrid es una tienda  de ropa dirigida a chicas de talla grande. Tienen bellezas de ropa moderna que van acorde a las tendencias y lo mejor es que la medida es perfecta.

Denim Shorts

Pantalones cortos mahonés son esenciales para mí en verano, por eso por parte de lo que llamo mi “uniforme”. Estos pantalones cortos que llevo son talla 18 y me quedan perfectos,  no son ni muy cortos ni muy bajitos se nota la buena calidad y que invirtieron su buen tiempo en hacer un pantalón que favorece muchísimo las curvas. Amo el detalle crochet con distress en la parte de abajo porque le da un toque femenino y diferente.

Embroidery Top

Escogí esta blusa blanca con embroidery para la combinación porque en verano siempre trato de usar tonos claros y blusas de tela finita con los pantalones cortos, siento que da ese toque relajado y veraniego. Decidí combinar estos pantalones cortos con estas sandalias hermosas que tienen un color coral súper veraniego, lo mejor es que son súper cómodas. Como accesorios decidí utilizar esta cartera de straw hermosa que tiene pompones y le da un toque de color al look y también use un trio de collares que son livianos y tienen una vibra bohemia perfecta para verano. Por ultimo pero no menos importante para completar el look use estas gafas simulando mármol hermosas, siento que le dan ese toque especial al look. En fin amo ese tipo de look para verano porque me gusta estar cómoda, pero lucir guapa a la vez.
